There’s magic in the air when new interpretations of Christmas carols are performed by international stars. On 22nd December 2010 Gloria Gaynor (“I will survive”) and the Croatian tenor, Ivo Gamulin Gianni, sang to a full house in the Lisinski Concert Hall, Zagreb. Their fans experienced an unforgettable evening. The proceeds of this charity concert will help RED NOSES Clowndoctors International build up their new partner organization in Croatia, CRVENI NOSEVI KLAUNOVIDOKTORI.
The Social Attaché of the Austrian Embassy in Zagreb, Mag. Gero Stuller, had also agreed to assist the project and in doing so increase awareness in the region. With this in mind, 300 high ranking guests and VIPs from society, the diplomatic service, politics and industry were invited to attend a cocktail reception at the ARCOTEL ALLEGRA Zagreb.
The representative of the Croatian government at the event was Secretary of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Ante-Zvonimir Golem. Together with the Vice Mayor of Zagreb, Jelena Pavičić Vukičević, the two officials enjoyed an interesting evening learning more about the new organization, which used this special opportunity to present itself to the public. The audience was visibly inspired and emotionally touched by the whole occasion.
With the great success of the charity concert and the weighty support from Croatian decision-makers, the right course has been set for CRVENI NOSEVI. Soon Croatian clowns will be able to bring laughter to sick and suffering children. Instilling them with energy and a true zest for life, humour and laughter will help the children survive and overcome their fear of operations and examinations.
