Monica Culen wins CENTROPE award

On 2 September 2015, RED NOSES International RED NOSES International was invited to the Vienna City Hall. The reason? Monica Culen received a very special award, the Centrope Prize.

The Centrope (Central Europe) Prize highlights outstanding commitment to transnational cooperation in the border regions of Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and the Czech Republic and was handed out for the ninth time at the Vienna City Hall on 2 September 2015 by the City of Vienna and Raiffeisenlandesbank Niederösterreich-Wien.

The Prize was handed over to Monica Culen, co-founder and manager of the RED NOSES International. She outlined the work of the Clowndoctors and in view of the current situation, she also described their successful work in the refugee camps in Jordan and Ukraine during the last one and a half years, where teams of artists from the Centrope region are active. She emphasised that the RED NOSES were active in 11 countries but that the organisations in Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic were the strongest players within RED NOSES International.

RED NOSES was praised for bringing psychosocial support not only to sick people in hospitals, but also to refugees who had to flee from home.

RED NOSES is so proud to get this recognition!
A big thank you to all our RED NOSES clowns and teams!
You are so great!
